Once Upon an AI - Make-a-thon

Van 20 januari t.e.m. 22 januari organiseren Nerdlab & CoGent een maak-weekend rond AI storytelling. ‘Once Upon An AI’.

We maken gebruik van de database van de Collectie van de Gentenaar - het erfgoed van Gent in alle soorten en vormen in een digitale database.

Het doel van Nerdlab is de kruisbestuiving van kennis en skills rond art, tech en AI - maar ook de mensen - de buurt - dichter in contact te brengen met het verhaal van Gent. Make your own story / Make your own city. .🚀

✨Hoe kunnen wij de collectie van de Gentenaren - met AI - in verhalen genereren?✨

Een weekend lang experimenteren we met AI technologieën, begeleid door Nerdlab en experts in AI🧑. Voor jullie te inspireren, organiseren we de avond ervoor (vrijdag) een sessie met 3 interessante sprekers, met elk hun diverse expertise rond dit onderwerp.

Geen zorgen, er is geen enkele voorafgaande kennis vereist! We leren van elkaar! Het process is hetgeen wat telt, en niet het eindresultaat.

Je kan experimenteren met AI, grafische vormgeving en storytelling.

We werken toe naar een toonmoment op 22 januari in de KOPERGIETERY. Hier zal jou werk te zien zijn voor het publiek.

🚀The show must go on! Het resultaat van dit maak-weekend is de basis voor het verdere traject van Once upon an AI. Met een gemotiveerd collectief puren we het concept uit en werken we naar een eindresultaat. Deze zal fysiek deel uitmaken van de CoGent Box en ook op het internet ter beschikking staan.

From the 20th until the 22th of January Nerdlab & CoGent will organize a make-weekend about AI storytelling. ‘Once Upon an AI’. We will make use of the database from the Collectie of the Gentenaar - the heritage of Ghent in all kinds of forms, in a digital database. The goal of Nerdlab is the cross-pollination of knowledge and skills about art, tech and AI - but also bringing the people - the neighborhood - closer to the story of Ghent. Make your own story / Make your own city. 🚀

✨How can we generate the collection of the Gentenaar in stories - with AI?✨

One weekend long, we experiment with AI technologies, coördinated by Nerdlab and experts in AI 🧑. To inspire you, we organize the evening before (friday) a session with three very interesting speakers, with each their own expertise around this subject.

No worries, no previous experience or knowledge is required! We learn from each other! The process is what matters, not the end result.

You can experiment with AI, design and storytelling.

We work towards a presentation moment - the 22th of January in the KOPERGIETERY. Your work will be shown here to the public.

🚀The show must go on! The result of this make-weekend will be the base for the next phase of the Once Upon an AI trajectory. With a motivated collective, we purify the concept and build towards an end result. This will be part of the CoGent Box and also be accessible on the web.
