Bring Your Own Beamer '23
For the sixth edition of BYOB in Ghent, we're crossing lightsabers with Kunstencentrum VIERNULVIER and the Ghent Film Festival. Together, we're creating an explosion of visual and digital art, installations, games, short films, visuals, and performances at the Wintercircus. Will you also unleash your wildest work in this jungle of media talent? Just bring your own beamer!
We are also organise a makeathon for everyone who don't know what to make. So no excuse to not participate!

A Beautiful Scene
Bring Your Own Beamer, or simply 'BYOB,' is an idea conceived by the Dutch artist Rafaël Rozendaal. Besides cheese and croquettes from vending machines, it's also one of the coolest Dutch export products. BYOB is an 'open-source exhibition concept': anyone can organize one, and everyone can participate, whether you're a novice or a professional artist, VJ, visual designer, part of a collective, an organization, or just an enthusiast. All you need to do is bring your own projector.

Generative
We'll be using rules, patterns, and systems to experiment with art. With the help of technology and our creative prowess, we'll conjure up the most fantastic and surprising artworks. This is the perfect opportunity to let your artistic vision flourish and discover how it blends with that of others.
You absolutely don't need any prior knowledge to participate! On-site, we'll assist you in expressing your creative vision.
