The Kempen Kabinet is a mobile workplace for local field research. It is based on three principles: collecting (like a wunderkammer or cabinet of curiosities), healing (like a doctor's cabinet or the cabinet of your heart) and having or giving agency (like the king's cabinet).

Come and meet the Kempen Cabinet!
Designers and other local experts discover the environment in a different way using storytelling and sensory tools. This creates a new collection of impressions, experiences and observations that brings the more-than-human to the fore. By taking more time for preliminary research and fieldwork, we hope to contribute to a regenerative mindset.
The Kempen Cabinet encourages designs that work better with the environment and helps restore our lost relationship with this.
